
An Introspective Look at Trauma and the Need for Self-Care
This two-hour training to provides practical tools for people caring for traumatized youth to preserve and maintain their own well-being. Participants will discover how trauma may prevent them from being fully available for others. This training provides a supportive environment where participants can reflect on their own experiences and learn effective self-care strategies.
This Professional Development Activity is approved by Texas Psychological Association (TPA): Two hours of Professional Development credits for psychologists, licensed specialists in school psychology, licensed psychology associates, social workers, and counselors.
Upon completing the training, participants will be able to:
- Identify multiple ways to complete the stress response cycle
- Apply healthy tools to manage thinking and emotions
- Use their own self-care plan developed during the training
