When We Heal A Traumatized Child, We Heal Our Community

We believe education is a critical component to helping traumatized children on their road to recovery and have designed our TraumaTALKS for professionals who are on the frontlines of this issue, including psychologists, counselors, and social workers.

TraumaTALKS are high-quality trauma-informed-training and professional development presentations, featuring Chester Street Foundation’s Founder and CEO, Shawn Alex Nemeth (a trauma survivor), along with other licensed mental health professionals.  TraumaTALKS are offered through On Demand videos with Professional Development credits for mental health professionals.

“When I first heard Shawn’s story it immediately resonated with me! And this was without even knowing the extent of the great work of the Chester Street Foundation. As a team of 50 licensed mental health professionals working in schools, I am so grateful that the Chester Street Foundation will be educating us on the impact of abuse and neglect on children and how we can transfer this knowledge to classroom teachers so that they can work with students from a trauma informed lens. The Chester Street Foundation is committed to the improvement of the lives of those affected by trauma through a multifaceted approach that includes advocacy and education. We look forward to our continued partnership.”
